We only recommend the use of quality branded lamps and this CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamp) is produced by one of the following companies: Osram Dulux L, Philips Master PL-L 4 Pin, Radium Ralux L, GE Biax L, Sylvania Lynx L, and they may all be used as replacements for one another.
The CFL L 4 Pin 2G11 Compact Fluorescent Lamps are energy saver bulbs and they use almost 75% less electrical power and at the same time give equal levels of light as that of an equivalent incandescent lamp. And as an added benefit not only will they greatly lower your electricity costs, they will also last up to ten times longer than ordinary incandescent lamps, which means a lot of time and energy is saved because re-lamping will need to be scheduled far less frequently.
A CFL lamp is designed to work in precisely the same way that a fluorescent tube works, the only difference being the shape, with the CFL more compact using less space, this makes them ideal for use in a much wider range of applications. The CFL L 4 Pin 2G11 Compact Fluorescent Lamps are dimmable with the correct control gear and can be used in numerous suitable luminaries in industrial and commercial property. They can be used outside and inside for amenity and security lighting and the illumination of stairways, corridors and open floor spaces.
This lamp has a long life and with mercury content and light depreciation very low, it is an excellent choice environmentally when the reduction of CO2 emissions are taken into account.
If the CFL L 4 Pin 2G11 Compact Fluorescent Lamps need to be replaced, it must be exchanged with a lamp of the same wattage otherwise it may cause damage to the light fittings control gear. The lamps come in three shades of white and they are listed on the "more details" pages. If you would prefer changing to a brighter light, the 840 Cool White may be worth bearing in mind as it is the brightest lamp in the group. When changing from one lamp shade of white to another you will need to change all the lamps in each particular room otherwise a mix of white lamp shades in one area will be immediately noticeable. The life span of these CFL L lamps is in the region of 10,000 hours.
